Meet the family who live in Abel Tasman National Park

Darryl Wilson likes his seafood fresh. As we wade across the Awaroa Inlet at the end of a hike from the orange sands of Totaranui, he suggests a crayfish might best exemplify the local cuisine and we'd better go and get one. A day of steady tramping and close encounters with the tiny native orchids and soaring rimu, black fantails and fat kereru of Abel Tasman National Park has left us happily tuckered out and ready for a feed.
