Turning 30 meant a new city and home of my own →

I lived in cheap flats, paying $100 a week for rent, intermittently staying with my mum rent-free when leases ran out or flats were sold. I invested in term deposits, joined Kiwisaver, and habitually shelved hundreds in savings every week while sticking to $50 grocery budgets. As the numbers on my spreadsheet went up, so did my ambition.
